esafe scam
I emailed that David guy with the yahoo address many times. For months he kept saying they'll send me a check. I got a money order today. Kinda sketchy since it says postal code 921211 (yes 6 numbers) and my code is one off from that.... hmm...

Ripped off in Missouri 18 times
Hi,
Since I haven't been checking my bank statements like I should.....
I just discovered this weekend that I've been taken by 17 electronic checks and one electronic withdrawal in the last year. And yes, I did have a Greenzap account, but never responded to the email to verify my account information.
Here they are:
Date Debited Pay To Amount Check#
07/12/2007 Strongbucks $99.75 32838
08/23/2007 Mazumah $39.90 800
09/13/2007 Mazumah $39.90 1017
09/20/2007 Mazumah $19.95 1026
10/01/2007 Mazumah $59.85 1032
10/09/2007 Mazumah $39.90 1037
10/16/2007 Mazumah $59.85 1043
10/24/2007 Mazumah $39.80 1049
11/30/2007 KH&C $19.95 10874
12/11/2007 SABAWA $19.95 3208
01/29/2008 SABAWA $19.95 7125
02/08/2008 SABAWA $19.95 9147
04/15/2008 DCL-ENV, Inc. $19.75 1001
04/25/2008 Three, Inc. $19.75 1002
05/21/2008 eSafe $1985 electronic withdrawal
06/03/2008 eSafe $19.45 12001
06/16/2008 ESafe Card: ESafe INC. $19.85 44156
06/18/2008 ESafe Card: ESafe INC. $19.85 52805
I have already closed my account and filed a police report. Then I decided to Google TheStrongBucks, who was the payee on the back of the check, and here I am. The FBI is who I will contact next.
No wonder I never seemed to have enough money.

eSafe Nightmare
I had a charge of $19.89 drafted from my checking account. I was ready to close that account anyway, when suddenly it was overdraft. This started an insane spiraling nightmare. I was closing my checking account because I was unsatisfied with Regions Bank after the Amsouth/Regions merger. This was big news in Alabama.
I contacted Regions Bank and gave them print offs of everything I could find on the scam from the Internet. The Assistant Manager of my branch told me that he would take care of it. I signed the affidavit and he said I should get my money in 3 to 10 business days at that time, he would close my account. Two weeks go by and I receive a statement saying similar payments went through twice more.
Today, I call my bank, and the manager that I had been dealing with was out of the office for two weeks and doesn't know what he will be able to do about the -$200 in my account. First it's the fraud, next it's the lack of personal attention from my bank. Next, it will be a call to my lawyer.

I’ve also been ripped off from this. I called the number on the check 3 weeks ago, was promised a check for 3x19.95 and would receive it by early “next week”. Watched mail EVERYDAY since I owe somebody exactly $60 so I was just going to use this $ for it. Never received it. Called back today, got a roundabout “enter phone number”. Found another number to call and basically nicely bitched out the answering machine, after reading everyone else’s horror stories. Got a call back 10 minutes ago from Laura saying to call her back. Will after work and I am going to tell her that I have read all these stories online and want a check overnighted (yeah right, but will try). This is so stupid! Why can’t they credit ALL the bank accts back without everyone calling in, they can obviously get that information, and it’s SO easy to take it out.

Ripped Off!
Hi there,
I was ripped off by MAZUMAH to the tune of $39.90 as you can see from the image below.
I did not EVER authorize this payment & had to completely close the account that this check came from.
I know for a fact through intensive research that MAZUMAH got my account details from Green Zap with whom I had opened an online account & CLOSED well before the money was stolen, after finding out that this company was rather dubious. I filed a complaint with the FBI or should I say the bank did on our behalf but I don't think anything ever came of it.
I WAS however offered a check from MAZUMAH as a refund, but I lost everything on my PC for whatever reason & lost the email that had the details (NAZ) etc. of this company Sad smile emoticon. NOT that I would have taken the chance of depositing the refund check if I ever got one, as I didn't fancy being hit with charges if it bounced.
What gets me is how they could withdraw funds from my account when we hadn't lived at the address they used for over 4 years AND the street name was actually changed from what was used by MAZUMAH by USPS or whoever is responsible for that. It changed from [REDACTED] to [REDACTED], so in reality the street name they used no longer existed!
If u need ANY more info I'm only 2 pleased to provide i.

DCL ENV fraud
I had fraudulent charges to my account, as well. I filed an investigation through my bank, who said they would probably be unable to do anything about it, but will credit my money back within 48 hours. I also filed a grievance with the FBI and will go to my local police station tomorrow night. Thanks for your informative site.

Esafe and DNC ENV are stealing from me too!
Hi I just thought I'd write to tell you about my latest troubles with a company called Greenzap. Greenzap was billed as a paypal killer, and I joined after hearing about some horror stories of what PayPal has done to some people (see www.paypalsucks.com). But as it turns out, paypal has nothing on greenzap. First, I wanted to simply transfer money between my bank accounts in Syracuse and Minneapolis, which was suppose to take 7-10 days. After 2 weeks with no results, I cancelled the transaction and had my bank put a stop on it as well. I tried to delete my greenzap account but found no way to do this. I then forgot about it. In August, as I was getting ready to leave the country for a year, I found a $43 charge in my bank account, I believe from Mazumah, Inc. I called the number listed on the check and complained and they did send me a refund check, but I still went to my bank, closed the account, and opened a new one in its place.
Everything had been great up until 2 weeks ago, when I logged into the OTHER bank account I had put on greenzap (the one in Syracuse) and saw that there were TWO fraudulent charges on my account, one an electronic withdrawal made on 4/10/08 to Safe Inc eSafe Inc in the amount of $19.95, and a second withdrawal on 4/17/08 to DCL ENV.,Inc in the amount of $19.75 (and this in an electronic check form with my name on it no less!). I called my bank and told them that both of these charges were fraudulent and I had not authorized them and I wanted them to put my money back into my account. Remember that now I am still out of the country, but they didn't know this of course and told me I must "step into" the branch to take dispute the charge. I even spoke to a manager who also said I must "step into" the branch. Not only is it frustrating that I cannot take care of this over the phone, but its frustrating that people can make fraudulent charges to my account without my authorization to begin with. I told my bank this and they said that if this company has my routing and account number then they can pretty much do whatever they want. I guess that's true, but I still think there should be some kind of system in place where only checks that I sign specifically or that have been written BY ME in my online banking system should be honored. I don't think that is very difficult. My bank by the way is M&T.
So, moving on. In the memo of the check that was taken from my account (the one to DCL ENV, Inc) was a phone number: 1-866-925-1969. I called this number and got an answering machine and left my name, my problem, and my phone number. I completely expected nothing to be done with this but miraculously, received a phone call the next day from a woman called Laura. She told me that their company has recently acquired a number of other companies are in the process of absorbing them. This has in turn caused problems with their systems, apparently charging many customers inadvertently. I said ok, fine, and she asked for my name and the number of charges and how much each one was, I told her and she said they would be credited back to my account within 2 days and to call back if I hadn't received my money. She also told me my information had been removed from their system. I was happy about this, I prefer to work it out with the company if I can first. So I waited those 2 days and nothing happened, and I called back and she said they both should have been posted, so I waited a week and still nothing has been posted to my account.
Now I'm getting the bank involved. This account is joint under myself and my mom, since it was opened when I was a minor, so she can step in and act in my behalf to dispute the charges. The bank said they would be happy to put the money back once they find out that these were unauthorized charges. I'm beginning to think that Laura told me the money was going back into my account to placate me into sitting around and waiting until too much time has passed to actually do anything about this. I hope that this can help others. I've already done a number of searches that show it has happened to a lot of people. The more I read the more it seems like Laura is their go-to girl to calm people into submission.

Ripped Off AGAIN in NEVADA
My account was hit by the Strongbucks fraud in July of 2007. The FBI did contact me about the Strongbucks fraud.
Now on 4/10/08 I was hit by eSafe Inc. in the amount of $19.95.
The only link I see is possibly that I have a GreenZap account and a PayPal account. I requested that Greenzap be closed and no one from GreenZap will contact me.
This of course means that I will have to close my business account and all related auto deposits and debits will have to be notified. AGAIN
What a hug waste of time and effort.

Strongbucks... and now "eSafe Inc"
eSafe is related to mipayments or to whoever it is that has all of our checking account numbers and routing numbers.
Over the last 12 months I had a total of almost $500 withdrawn from my checking account via various small amounts via remotely created checks. They all lead back to mipayments as the company that did the withdrawls under names sabawa, mazumah, initabill and kh&c. I called the voice mail number at 706-755-9345, they called back, told me they were deleting my account at mipayments and that my bank account would not be charged again. They sent me a refund check which bounced and I later found out (by checking with a local Bank of America branch) that mipayment's Bank of America checking account was flagged and that I could not have cashed their refund check even if the account did have enough money in it. The voice mail number that I called back in Feb 2008 is now no longer in service.
Fast forward to 4/18/08 and I discover a $19.75 debit from my bank account from "eSafe Inc eSafe Inc". So I googled "eSafe Inc" and found website
http://www.mycoupons.com/boards/cafe-tc/896435-anyone-ever-here-esafe-inc.html
where people were reporting bogus checking account withdrawls from eSafe and they were mentioning ties to GreenZap (I did have a GreenZap account at one time too). They listed some voice mail numbers to call: 760-705-2546 and 866-925-1969. (They mentioned an email too, esafecards@yahoo.com) I called both of the voice mail numbers (they both play the same voice message), and both had the same voice of the guy I spoke to back in Feb 2008 related to the *other* voice mail that is now out of service.
I believe they use the eSafe name just to throw people off, because that name is the name of another ligitemate company eSafe Cards. Also, with the esafecards@yahoo.com email, that is an email made up by the bogus company. The real eSafe Cards company wouldn't have a yahoo email address.
My belief now is that mipayments sent me a refund check to appease me, and used that as a delaying tactic. I'm sure they were more than happy to send me a refund check because they knew I could never cash it! They hoped that after the check bounced that I would get frustrated and forget about trying to get my money back.
So be careful of "eSafe" now too.
Yeah, and realize that if your checking account was hit by any of the company names mentioned in this strongbucks blog and you don't close your account, consider it open to future withdrawls by new company names that are created by whoever still has all of our checking account numbers and routing numbers.

I just balanced my checkbook last night, and it came through as a $19.95 direct debit via the name eSafe, Inc. I have disputed the charge with my bank, but it will take up to 120 days to get the money refunded into my account.

Mazumah fraud in Illinois (Regions Bank)
On 9/8/05, this company withdrew $100 from my account for what was advertised as a "Gold Upgrade" with the promise that this cash would be made available on a Mastercard Debit Card that would be available soon. The contract information online on their website and still active as of 3/17/08 says that all monies received will be placed in an FDIC-insured financial institution and backed by this institution.
On 4/13/06 and 5/8/06, the company withdrew additional amounts of $100 per transaction for what they called "The Partner Program", which would result in a total of $1,100 in withdraws for a promised $9,900 return as "investors" in their company.
I received phone calls from this company during the summer of 2006 after I stopped any additional withdraws, informing me that I needed to finish my commitment to join "the partner program" to "Receive the promised benefits". I refused and requested a refund of the monies paid, either via direct reimbursement or the promised Debit Card with the funds that I had given them. I received no response.
In October 2007, the company began trying to withdraw $19.95 per month from my checking account without any authorization. I placed a stop payment on this amount, and then the company began trying to withdraw random amounts on a regular basis, including $39.90 from a company called Mazumah. It required me to close my account and place a fraud alert on my credit report.
The e-mail address, mailing address, and phone numbers for this business all seem to be invalid and I have received no response to repeated attempts to rectify this situation and get a refund for all monies owed.

Use what you like. I’m attaching a copy of the check image I have – it has the actual bank account this was deposited into. I wish I knew an FBI person...
The account is now closed. I hope these jerks rot in jail.

Greenzap Fraud in Illinois
I've had my Greenzap account for over a year and haven't been able to transfer money to pay for goods. Greenzap has links to various online retailers who supposedly accept their cash, but when you try to purchase something with it, nothing happens. I've called about 5 of these retailers and they know nothing about Greenzap and claim to have no business relationship with them. I still have $75 in my Greenzap account which I attempted to get back, and they claim to have sent me a check, but nothing yet. Of course I haven't gotten any response from multiple phone calls and e-mails.
A month ago I got dinged for $19.95 from 'Mazumah'. I contacted my bank and immediately got the amount refunded. A week later, they hit me for $39.90, at which point I got another bank refund and closed the account. As mad as I am at Greenzap, I'm also extremely POed at my old bank, who allowed these transactions to go thru for check # '123', not in my usual sequence of checks. The lady at the bank even admitted that neither of these transactions should have been allowed, which is why they refunded the money promptly. I have all of my documentation and will be sending it to my state Attorney General soon.

Rip Off in Kentucky
I checked to see my account balance today and saw a check number that I didn't recognize. I called my bank immediately and they gave me the phone number of the company. I them went to the bank and got a copy of the check, which was for $19.95. Unlike others that I have read, the check was paid to Sabawa, but has the number for Mazumah. I called the number about 6 different times until I got someone. I told the man that I did not authorize the payment and I demanded that he refund my money. I guess that the next thing I need to do is close my checking account. I never in a million years would have thought that this would happen to me. This is extremely frustrating!!!!

Ripped Off in Illinois by MAZUMAH
Some fraud transactions were done from my BOE (Bank of Edwardsville, Illinois) checking account. There are at least 4 transactions that I can see from my online account and available online transactions. At least 4 checks were drawn ($39.90, $39.90, 19.95, 59.85) and to the order of MAZUMAH www.mipayment.biz
Also my address provided on these checks is not correct, they have provided some address that I am not even aware of but it is not my address. Address on check is “[redacted]” It is not my address . Doing a google for this name and address I found that this guy owns a internet company and could find his hone number on internet, not sure if this guy is involved in this scam or is a victim of it but I can not understand how come his address is on check.
Doing a search on that these checks are not even signed. Check numbers are 800, 1018, 1026, 1036. In memo field there is some random number.
I have contacted bank and has locked my account. Will work with them toi get the money back. Does anyone know how to proceed for this thing legally and file for investigation.?
Thanks.
A. Gupta
